Financial support is provided to this efficient, local NGO, which runs a successful Home-based care programme for Aids patients that includes transportation of bedridden patients to local clinics for treatment, counselling and support.

Support given include weekly distribution of fresh produce, vitamin-enriched porridge and food supplement tablets.

Other activities are developing and mentoring Aids support groups in the village, as well as providing food to four pre-schools in the area, which care for some 370 children in a month. Additional funding and support in partnership with the trust are provided to these centres to improve their infrastructure and maintain the buildings - ultimately offering more suitable day-care accommodation to needy pre-school children.

Holiday clubs, attended by up to 200 young people and children, are conducted bi-annually in the village. Activities such as life skills education, sports, games and small group discussions to promote HIV/Aids awareness are included over a number of days during the school holidays in an effort to provide a safe environment for children while their parents are at work.
